  • Re-install the drive shaft and jet pump.

    Clean threads inside the bolt holes in the pump base and clean the bolt threads.

    Grease the splines on both ends of the drive shaft, and the O-ring seal that fits into the impeller.

    Make sure the pump section fully seats aginst the pump base, and the drive shaft fully engages the PTO drive coupler.

    As you tighten the bolts, check that the nozzle assembly is square and level, not tilted. Snug the bolts, check for proper pump assembly.

    Then torque to 18 ft-lbs in a criss-cross pattern.
